About LFMarkdown

LFMarkdown is a free tool for sharing Markdown online. You paste a document, publish it, and get a permanent link that renders it properly: tables, code, diagrams, formulas and all.

It exists because the usual options are a poor fit. A pastebin treats your document as a wall of monospaced text. A gist needs an account and still renders like source code. Most note tools want you to sign up before they will show anyone anything.

How it works

Write or paste Markdown, choose whether it should expire, and publish. You get two links: the public one to share, and a private one that deletes the document. The private link is shown once and cannot be recovered, so keep it if you think you will want it.

What it does not do

Documents are not private. Anyone with the link can read them. The address is random and hard to guess, so nobody will stumble onto it, but this is not the place for anything secret.

There is no editing after publishing. Publish a new document and delete the old one.

Accounts

An account is optional and does exactly one thing: it lists everything you have published in one place, so you do not have to keep track of delete links. Anything you published anonymously in the same browser is attached to your account the first time you sign in.
